About This Project
This was a school project I was assigned in one of my classes at the Cornish College of the arts. We were assigned to make a "PSA" about an issue that faced the city of Seattle that we were passionate about, and I chose trans insurance accessibility, since I have some trans people in my life that I care very much about who have had to struggle with getting their stuff covered in the past, and I thought making a poster about that would be helpful.
We were supposed to make 2 posters for the class. One that would be "in the Stranger" (it wasn't actually going in a publication, we were just supposed to imagine that it was), and one that we would make 5 screen-prints of & give these screen-prints to our teachers. The projects we made about issues wouldn't actually go towards the fixing of anything, and I thought that was stupid, because what's the point in learning about a problem if you aren't gonna' do shit about it?
I went ahead and made a ton of screenprints of a very meticulously researched poster, and put it up all over Seattle in places like Gay City, the lambert house, and places where trans people probably might go. If you're a trans person reading about this poster, you'll probably already know how to get insured, but if you've been denied for some stupid reason you're probably gonna' be pissed, and might not know how to deal with that, so hopefully this poster will help some of the people in that boat. Also, if you're trans and you've just come out & don't know where to start with insurance shit, hey, this poster is just right for you!
The poster is pretty boiled down and simplified from how stuff really is, but I did my best to make sure it was accurate, so here's a bibliography of all the sources I used to fact check my shit.

Bibliography
For reliability's sake I provided the below bibliography of many of the sources that I used to inform the creation of my posters, incase anybody is curious as to where I got the information which I wrote about in my poster or wanted to fact check it or something like that. I did alot of googling and researching and interviewing, so not all of my sources are here, but it's a pretty decent list, so I hope it works out for you!
